Community Collaboration
The Young Women in Science Project (TYWSP) was delighted to partner with the Torrance-South Bay Family YMCA for a hands-on STEM workshop on October 24, 2026. Through engaging experiments, the girls explored scientific concepts, practiced critical thinking, and experienced the excitement of scientific discovery.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Isai Elias, Senior Program Director, and the YMCA team for their support and collaboration in making this experience possible. This partnership reflects TYWSP’s commitment to inspiring girls to pursue careers in science by nurturing their curiosity, building confidence, and helping them envision a future in STEM.
