Bio STEM Workshop - August 7, 2026

    Community Collaboration

Building on the success of our inaugural workshop, the second STEM workshop continued to grow through meaningful community collaboration. El Centro Multicultural La Familia once again supported the project by providing the venue and helping promote the event within the community, while Sra. Debra Consulting Services contributed both workshop T-shirts and valuable guidance throughout the planning process. This workshop also welcomed a special guest, Mrs. Lula Muller, a highly respected clinical research professional affiliated with the University of Michigan's cardiac surgery and heart research community. Mrs. Muller shared her professional journey in STEM, giving participants an inspiring opportunity to learn firsthand about a career in science and the possibilities that STEM can offer.

    Centro Multicultural La Familia

We extend our sincere appreciation to Mrs. Mónica Fiesco, Éxito Educativo Coordinator, and Mr. Chris Pimentel-Gonzaga, Student Success Coach, for their support and encouragement throughout the development of the second workshop.  Their commitment to helping students and families access educational opportunities reflects the spirit of collaboration that made this event possible.

Thank you for helping create a space where girls can explore STEM.

    Sra. Debra Consulting Services

We are grateful to Sra. Debra Consulting Services for continuing to support The Young Women in Science Project as it grows. For our second workshop, Sra. Debra once again contributed valuable guidance and knowledge during the planning process and generously provided T-shirts for the participants. Her continued encouragement and commitment have helped strengthen the project and create meaningful opportunities for girls to explore STEM in a supportive community environment.
